‘The Breath' is a 2025 work for acousmatic concert ‘loudspeaker orchestra’. Like the sound of music, human breath or the breath of the wind can be a powerful, invisible energy in the atmosphere where we breathe, smell and hear.
The work emanates from the musical track previously produced for my video piece ‘The Wind, which plays with sound and visuals composed together at the same time. The present music for ‘The Breath’ thus inserts the original sound objects into intense, immersive vibratory colours, welcoming listeners and performers into a composition of the entire acousmatic sound space.
