SLIDESHOW - duration: 11'14 year: 2004

Charles-Edouard Platel, composer

Nostalgic variations that overlaps looping sequences of diverse natural or synthesized instruments.

The pictures gathered by C.E.Platel show vestiges of structures formely prestigious or presumptuous: the Atlantic Wall, the Trélazé slate quarries, knocked up electrical and telephonical wirings, scars of the devastating tempest on a seawall at La Tranche-sur-mer . The title "Vestiges" expresses no much regret about these times in spite of the remaining charm.

Sound material: balaphon, barrel organ,  digital sound synthesis.
