TO MAKE A FARCE WITH THE TURKEYS
- reworked in 1999 by Charles-Edouard Platel, composer
Music made up with the recording of a group of turkeys gurglings at the approach of end-of-year merry making.
In introduction, as a symphony orchestra, the herd reacts with unit to the epic of the person who gives them to eat, as well by the cries as by the collective ballets. Then a disheveled reggae uses the various registers of a virtual instrument "sampled gurgling".
The slow final movement carries the fat birds towards their inexorable destiny.
Sound material: recording of turkeys, RSF Kobol analog synthesizer, voices.
